OUR STORY
BAO² Apparel was born out of our passion for healthcare. Being healthcare workers ourselves, we know how challenging the past year has been. In the midst of all the chaos and uncertainty, healthcare workers showed up! We went to work when everyone was ordered to stay at home, and we stood in front of danger when others were told to stay six feet apart. Our goal is to honor the selflessness and courage of our everyday heroes, and we want to reflect that same passion into our products.
We designed our products with functionality, comfort, and style in mind. We believe that in order to provide the best possible care for your patients, you must first be able to take care of yourself. We are also aware of the lengths you have gone to protect your families. At the height of the pandemic, some of you have spent weeks and months away from them. Our products are washable and come in multiple colors so you can come home to your families after a long shift, throw our products in the washer, and use them again the next day or purchase multiples to mix and match with your favorite pair of scrubs. Knowing that you are fully equipped going into your shift, you can have the confidence to finally feel like the superhero you truly are.
HOW OUR PRODUCTS ARE MADE
Our materials are sourced in Los Angeles, California where we reside. We designed our products then partnered with a seasoned pattern maker and seamstress from the Philippines who skillfully helped transform our ideas from start to finish. She has carefully handcrafted each product with accuracy and lots of love. Our products serve as our special gift to you for all the hard work you have put in especially in this past year. We want to make sure to give you the protection and comfort you need as you work your eight, twelve, sixteen hours... or however long your shifts may be. We want you to know we got you covered.
OUR TEAM
We are a couple-owned small business who also have our full time jobs in the healthcare industry. We share our business ideas with our aunt from the Philippines who had an extensive nursing experience both locally and internationally before retiring a few years ago. She is our co-founder and has worked extremely hard bringing this passion project to life. We are ecstatic and grateful to have her on our team.BAO² Apparel, therefore, is a team of only four people working together to turn our ideas into reality to better serve our healthcare workers. Our materials are locally sourced, our products are never mass produced, and we have no middle men. You can trust that our products are made with the intention to honor your selflessness and courage, and to thank you for showing up everyday. You are our everyday heroes.
